April 30th, 2023, an experienced hiker set out on a multi-day solo hike in Joshua Tree National Park California. He had prepared for the hike and was familiar with the area. When he failed to show up at his pickup location park officials were alerted and the search began. Join us this week as we investigate the case of Trammell Evans.

On April 1st, the girls were hiking a trail named El Pianista, a hike that should have only taken a few hours, but were never seen again. July 21, 1996, a NPS Backcountry ranger with 28 years of experience sets off from his remote outpost, on a multi-day hike in the Kings Canyon National Park wilderness. When he fails to radio in, a massive search kicks off. Five years later, a gruesome discovery is made. Join us this week as we investigate the disappearance of Randy Morgenson.

August 20th, 2004, A 12-year-old boy scout was on a camping trip with his troop and father in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Early that morning, the father and son decided to go fishing at a nearby lake. After accidentally getting wet, Garrett decided to make the short walk back to their campsite to change into dry clothes. This would be the last time anyone saw him. On June 23rd, 2021, a geologist working on a remote job site in the Sonoran Desert, west of Phoenix Arizona, started behaving strangely shortly after arriving for the day. His coworker noticed him looking off into the desert with a blank stare before getting into his car and driving off, never to be seen again. Join us this week as we investigate the bizarre disappearance of Daniel Robinson and the puzzling discovery a month later that leaves more questions than answers.
CORRECTION ON SNAKE BITES: Around the 21:42 mark we discussed what to do if you get bit by a rattlesnake. After explaining that you should seek immediate medical attention, we also mentioned the use of a tourniquet and mechanical suction if you can't get to a hospital. Many of our amazing listeners have called the show or sent us emails correcting us on this. According to the Wilderness Medical Society Practice Guidelines, both methods of treating snake bites are not recommended. You can learn more about the proper ways to treat snake bites here.
