May 6th, 2006, a couple hiking in the San Jacinto Mountains, were navigating off trail on what was supposed to be a short 2-hour hike. After making several decisions in an attempt to find the trail, they realized they were in serious trouble. Amazingly, several days into their ordeal, they found an abandoned campsite of a man who went missing a year earlier. Join us this week as we follow the amazing survival story of Brandon Day & Gina Allen and uncover the mystery of the abandoned campsite they found.

July 2nd, 2020 - Hikers in the Sierra National Forest discovered an abandoned campsite, with gear strewn about, near Johnson Meadows. Days later, hikers near that area reported seeing a bruised & barefoot woman on the trail, who refused help when offered. Over a month after the initial campsite was discovered, the same woman was seen by hunters off a remote road in the forest. June 14th, 1969. A young boy sets off on a camping trip with family in the Great Smoky Mountains. On the second day, a group of kids, including the young boy, decided to play a prank on the adults by hiding in the woods next to the campground. After less than five minutes, the group of kids returned but the boy was nowhere to be found. In the following weeks, the largest search and rescue operation in NPS history (to this day) failed to find any clues as to what happened. Join us this week as investigate the puzzling disappearance of Dennis Martin.

August 21st 2022, an experienced climber, who survived an avalanche in 2005 on Mt. Everest, set out to summit Split Mountain in California. He was accompanied by two friends he had recently met on a social media hiking group. Near the summit, Than got separated from his group and was never seen again. Join us this week as we investigate the disappearance of Quang Than.
Note - Due to this case being less than a month old at recording time, facts about what happened may have changed by the time you listen. Dora had recently reconnected with Gwen and was at her house a few hours after she was reported missing and stayed around for the initial days after her death. After several weeks of hiking, he decides to spend a couple days resting in Idyllwild California, located only a couple of miles from the PCT. On April 7th, 2017, he checks out of his hotel and hits the PCT, never to be seen again. Join us this week as we investigate the disappearance of David O’Sullivan.
